Free Monsters: Crypt Thing & Giant Lizard

The Crypt Thing is one of my favourite monsters from AD&D, and I am using one in a dungeon that I’m working on. I thought I would share the statblock for it here so that others can use it too!

Crypt Thing

A robed, skeletal undead with glowing red eyes. Uninterested in violence unless it is defending the crypt it guards.

AC 11, HP 29, ATK 2 Claw +3 (1d8) or spell, MV near, S +3, D +1, C +2, I +3, W +0, Ch -1, AL N, LV 6

Undead. Immune to morale checks.

Teleport (INT Spell). DC 15. Touch any creature & teleport it 1d10 × 100’ in a random direction.

For that same project I also needed a giant lizard, so I thought I’d publish that here too:

Lizard, Giant

Enormous & lightning-fast monitor lizards with razor sharp claws and a venomous bite

AC 14, HP 15, ATK 1 claw +3 (1d6) or 1 bite +3 (1d6 + poison), MV double near, S +3, D +2, C +2, I -3, W +1, Ch -2, AL N, LV 3

Poison. DC 12 CON or paralyzed 1d4 rounds.
